GET BIDDING FOR CHARITY! – CHARITY EVENT AT PALACE THEATRE PAIGNTON ON SUNDAY 24 APRIL

Bids are now being accepted for a major sports and celebrity auction being held in Paignton this weekend. Bid for Bolt’s baton, raise your hand to buy  Raheem Sterling’s signed boot or wave your card to go home with a signed England cricket bat.

Striking the gavel will be auctioneer Stephen Large who has been on TV in Fake Britain, Cash in the Attic, Four Rooms and Flog It. Stephen also has many years’ experience running charity auctions in and around London and now, living in the South West, he has agreed to step up to the podium to run the auction;  ‘I have worked with Cancer Macmillan, The Children’s Trust, Little Stars and The Hunger Project and I really wanted to help the ESSW Charitable Trust raise as much as possible to support Ukraine. They have managed to gather some incredible lots with support from celebrities and local businesses too so I advise you to get your bids ready!’

You can come along and bid in person but commission bids are also welcome.  Details of the lots are shown below. From a relay baton signed by Usain Bolt to a signed photo of Jurgen Klopp and from a signed Adele photo to a Raheem Sterling signed boot, plus weekend breaks, an ITN Newsroom Experience, wine tasting and a VIP visit to Plymouth Gin. Or how about a framed, signed photo of Liam Gallagher, or Elton John for your wall?, there will be something to encourage you to bid, and to support a worthy cause at the same time.

The auction evening starts with a game show with a difference – pontoon or bust, a game with lights, buzzers spinning wheels music and sequins … the perfect warm-up to the big event! It all takes place in Stage Left and the bar will be open with snacks available.

Tickets are free, but you can pay £5 to include a draw ticket to win a night at the Bull Inn in Totnes. Please book your space here, or contact [email protected] to let us know that you’ll be there. Children welcome.

We stand together with the people of the Ukraine.  All profits raised by Events and Stuff South West Charitable Trust will be directed towards good causes, including Save the Children Ukraine Crisis Appeal and those which focus on humanitarian crises and starvation, such as Water Aid, UNICEF as well as very small charities.
