What do you get from #BoostTorbay?

Believe it or not #BoostTorbay doesn’t get any kind of funding, doesn’t charge anything for its featured account or even for putting together a small blog post each week.

Yes there are thousands of these hash-tags out there, believe us we’ve seen most of them.

#BoostTorbay was started all the way back in 2012, 4 years ago and in fact its our 5th birthday next year – did we mention that we’re only just starting to really, like seriously, thinking about planning this.

So what do we  get from #Boosttorbay? Well financially we don’t get anything from it.  However what do we get is an enormous amount of satisfaction of hearing “I met this person through #BoostTorbay” or “we did business with x who we met through #BoostTorbay”.  For me if I can help just one business a year, then #BoostTorbay will of done it’s job of connecting businesses with customers.

Our new website, which has been in production since before even we can remember, is all about focusing on businesses and customers.

Right that’s the self promotion out the way onto the checkin.

Featured Account  – @LashandBrowWS

Our featured account this week is: @LashandBrowWS, a certified & insured Lash & Brow Technician recently moved to Torquay, in specific the St Marychurch area. She specialised in Lash Extensions giving you the most beautiful eyes without any mascara and this for up to 2-3 weeks.

We also need to mention our featured account from last week who was @RivieraTuition, you can find out more about them in this dedicated blog post.

What’s on

So we’re getting ever closer to Christmas and there is plenty of bits and pieces going on in Torbay at the moment. Including late night shopping, so make sure you get into town to get some of your last minute Christmas gifts.  There is also the Torquay Town Centre Christmas Market pop down and have a nose at some of the independents trading.

Finally, if you don’t fancy seeing Santa in a grotto this year, you can always head on down to Kents Cavern and meet him in the caves?

Right that’s us out of here, have a great week everyone and don’t forget it’s not long till the big day..

Don’t forget if you have something for us to share, ping it over to us on [email protected]
