Torbay Jobs Fair will return on Friday 14 October from 10am-12pm at Torquay Town Hall after last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dozens of local employers will be advertising hundreds of live vacancies in administration, care, construction, customer service, hospitality, retail, sales and more.

The event is free to attend and has been organised by TDA in partnership with Torbay Council and Jobcentre Plus.

Councillor Swithin Long, Torbay Council Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Tourism and Housing, said: ”We are delighted to be running the Torbay Jobs Fair again and to give jobseekers the opportunity to explore vacancies that are currently on offer across the Torbay area. With so many jobs on offer across a wide range of sectors, there really is something for everyone.”

Some of the employers due to attend include Torbay Pharmaceuticals, Paignton Zoo, Devon County Council, Whistl logistics company, TLH Leisure Resort and Beechcroft Care Homes.

All are welcome to attend and no booking is required; just turn up on the day. Jobseekers are advised to bring a copy of their CV to the event and should be prepared to speak to employers face to face.

Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to offer job application and CV advice and TDA will also be available to offer business start-up and self-employment advice.
