These will include all the changes to Fleet Walk, Torre One way system, Abbey Park, The Town Centre Master plan, The controversial Pavilion proposals and those for Torwood Street.

Doors will open at 6pm and residents can view the various Displays and exhibition stands. At 7pm, there will be a Question and Answer session.  At 8pm, refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity for people to revisit the display and exhibition stands

Nick Burleigh, Chair of the partnership said:

“Our steering group is now a wonderfully diverse team made up of local people from a wide range of backgrounds and a cross section of society who are able to recognise the needs and aspirations of most local people.

Collectively, our aim is simple; to empower the community, deliver quality, factual information that can help people to make up their own minds about those plans that will ultimately impact on their everyday lives, business and future.

We recognise that some residents have busy lives and struggle to research the detail of what is happening around them. On the other hand, some schemes and developments have become so controversial the real facts have become obscured by excessive commentary from all the debates of opposing views, spin and opinions. We want to strip things right back, so the community are able see the facts and draw their own conclusions.
