Resurfacing Works Scheduled for Plymouths Roads

It is no secret that some of Plymouth’s roads, like much of the UK’s road network, is in need of a bit of TLC.

With this in mind Plymouth City Council have announced two months of resurfacing works as they continue to upgrade and improve their road network.

The works will start on the 10th September and will take place on roads where the surfacing is nearing the end of its life.

All road surfacing works are being carried out by contractor South West Highways along with its day to day road maintenance programme.

Roads to be resurfaced

The roads shown below are scheduled in to be resurfaced on the dates shown.

Beaumont Road
Monday 10th to Friday 14th September 2018 for a period of four nights

Billacombe Road (inbound)
Wednesday 19th to Thursday 20th September 2018 for a period of one night.

Embankment Road
Thursday 20th to Friday 21st September for a period of one night.

Slip road from Marsh Mills Roundabout to Leigham
Friday 21st September to Saturday 22nd September 2018 for a period of one night.

Charfield Road
Monday 24th September to Friday 28th September for a period of four days

Ernesettle Lane
Monday 8th to Thursday 11th October for a period of three nights
Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October for a period of two nights
Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th October for a period of two nights.

Cumberland Road/Devonport Hill
Monday 15th to Friday 19th October for a period of one night.

Western Approach
Monday 15th to Friday 19th October for a period of four nights.

Union Street
Tuesday 16th October to Wednesday 17th October for a period of one night

Stonebarn Road
Monday 22nd October during the day

Dingle Road
Tuesday 23rd to Wednesday 24th October for a period of one night

Molesworth Road
Thursday 25th to Monday 29th Octoberf for a period of two days

Tavistock Road outbound (George Junction)
Tuesday 30th October to Thursday 1st November for a period of two nights.

Morgan Road (George Junction)
Thursday 1st to Saturday 3rd November for a period of two nights

Tavistock Road (George Junction)
Monday 5th to Tuesday 6th November for a period of one night

Southway Drive
Wednesday 6th to Thursday 7th November for a period of one night

Tavistock Road inbound (Manadon Hill)
Wednesday 7th to Thursday 8th November for a period of one night

Road closures will be required on all of works mentioned above and residents and business will be informed prior to the works being carried out.

Access will be maintained as far as possible and any diversion routes will be well signposted.

A lot of the work is being carried out at night to ensure that disruption is kept to a bare minimum.
