On Tuesday December 11th 2018, concerns were raised about a woman’s welfare on Temperance Street, Torquay, at approximately 10:30pm.
Despite the best efforts of the paramedics who treated the 45 year old woman at the scene she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police Officers initially arrested a 47 year old man from Torquay on suspicion of murder and was taken into police custody where he assisted police officers with their enquiries.
The man has now been released from custody, under investigation and pending further enquiries.
Police officers are now appealing for witnesses or any kind of useful information surrounding the death of the woman.
Currently the death is being treated as unexplained, however officers would urge for anyone with information to come forward.
