Palace Theatre set to host major charity auction for Ukraine

Raheem Sterling’s signed boot could be yours!

Sports and music fans are in for a treat, when some fantastic items go under the hammer at a special charity auction at Palace Theatre’s Stage Left Events Suite on Sunday 24 April 2022.

From a relay baton signed by Usain Bolt to a signed photo of Jurgen Klopp and from a signed Adelephoto to a Raheem Sterling signed boot, plus weekend breaks, an ITN Newsroom Experiencewine tasting and a VIP visit to Plymouth Gin. Or how about a framed, signed photo of Liam Gallagher, or Elton John for your wall?, there will be something to encourage you to bid, and to support a worthy cause at the same time.

The evening starts with a game show with a difference – pontoon or bust, a game with lights, buzzers spinning wheels music and sequins … a game of chance so nobody is alienated whether they be the next rain-man or joe blogs!

Entry is FREE with an option to buy a draw ticket to win a night at the Bull Inn, Totnes, staying in a king size room with breakfast and bottle of Prosecco in the room.  The Stage Left Bar will be open, as will the kitchen, for some tasty treats on the night, so make a night of it, bring your friends, have some fun and support a good cause too.

We stand together with the people of the Ukraine.  All profits raised by Events and Stuff South West Charitable Trust will be directed towards good causes, including Save the Children Ukraine Crisis Appeal and those which focus on humanitarian crises and starvation, such as Water Aid, UNICEF as well as very small charities.

About Events and Stuff South West Charitable Trust:

The event and auction is hosted by Events & Stuff South West Charitable Trust, set up by Trustees Ian Coulton, Matt Easton and Gill Portman to provide support for children caught up in overseas humanitarian crises. This life-saving help includes providing food, clean water and medical care to children who are at risk of loss of life. We also support many opportunities for school-age children deprived of an education.  We achieve our aims by organising several fund-raising events and initiatives, corporate sponsorship, and public donations, with an annual donation to a large global charity whose aims are in line with those of the Trust. The infrastructure of the global charity ensures the money gets where it needs to go.

Trustee, Ian Coulton says: ‘Our events have raised thousands in the past but of course this year the need for humanitarian support couldn’t be greater.  We’d like to thank all of the amazing celebrities and businesses that have contributed to making this our best ever charity auction’. We can’t wait to see if we can break our fundraising records too!’

The Trust has no paid staff and no overheads in the day to day running of the trust.  For more information see the ESSW website or  contact Ian Coulton on 07920 421285 or email [email protected]
