Over 300 live jobs at the Torbay Jobs Fair

Are you cnsider a change of career or a new job in 2020, if so then read on.

The Torbay Jobs Fair at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay on the 13th March 2020 from 10am till 1pm, is boasting that over 300 job choices will be available on the day.

Companies including BT, EF, McDonalds and St Austell Brewery are all thought to be attending on the day giving prospective candidates a plethora of new roles and challenges to choose from.

Councillor Swithin Long, Torbay Council Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Tourism and Housing said:

This event continues to grow and delivers excellent outcomes for local businesses and people looking for a new job in Torbay. One of Torbay Council’s priorities is to tackle poverty and events like the jobs fair helps with this. To date, the Jobs Fair has helped generate over 600 job interviews, matching job vacancies with skills to create jobs outcomes.”

As well as a plethora of leading businesses from across the South West prospective candidates will also have access to Jobcentre Plus Work Coaches to help and support people.

If your CV could use a little work then head over to the National. Careers Service stand who will be able to give it a bit of a tune up and make you stand out from the crowd.

Economic Development Officer Connor Connelly went on:

There will be live vacancies on offer from local employers across all sectors including hospitality, care, hi tech and construction. Getting to meet the employers face to face to discuss the roles available and its suitability for you provides a real advantage to getting the right job. Over 270 people have secured work through the Jobs Fairs so far.”

The Torbay Jobs Fair is a joint venture between the Torbay Development Agency (TDA), Torbay Councuil and Job Centre Plus, the goal of the event is to bring a range of employers from across Torbay and South Devon together in one place.

Marzenna Seares, employer advisor at Jobcentre Plus said:

Previous Jobs Fairs have been a real success because the event provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to meet and talk to employers who have vacancies. The Jobs Fair will help people fulfil ambitions and find a job that they desire and matches their skill set.”

Free Event

The Torbay Jobs Fair is completely free to attend and you don’t even need to book. The fair is also supporting the Disability Confident Scheme by operating a ‘quiet time’ session with Jobcentre Work Coaches from 09:30 – 10:00am for those with additional or medical needs.

Bring your A game and be ready to speak with potential employers in a face to face environment about the vacancies they have available, wear your best suit or dress to impress and don’t forget to bring your CV.

Ensure you visit all the stands, as each employer and recruitment agencies has different vacancies that are available right no and that is the major difference between the Torbay Jobs Fair and others.
