Local employers invited to fill vacant positions at Torbay Jobs Fair

The Torbay Jobs Fair is returning this October and local employers are being invited to book a free stand to advertise and fill their vacancies.

The popular event will take place from 10am-12pm on Friday 14 October at Torquay Town Hall with organisers expecting hundreds to attend.

Employers will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with people from all ages, backgrounds and with all levels of experience who are looking for work.

The event is free to attend for both employers and jobseekers and is delivered by TDA in partnership with Torbay Council and Jobcentre Plus.

Councillor Swithin Long, Torbay Council Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Tourism and Housing, said: ‘‘We are delighted to be running the Torbay Jobs Fair again, especially after last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic. The event is always extremely popular and offers a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to fill their vacancies and meet prospective candidates in person.’’

Employers from all sectors and industries who have current job or apprenticeship vacancies are welcome to apply for a free business stand. Please be aware that space at the event is limited so businesses are advised to reserve their stand as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
