Jolly good events to celebrate Harry & Megs tying the knot

This weekend is shaping up to be a right Royal Scorcher.

Not only do we have the Royal Wedding, but there is also the FA Cup Final, the Devon County show and the Exeter Chiefs are in the Semi Final.

Don’t think I’ve seen such an alignment of events,.

For those of you who do want to wave the red white and blue this weekend, we’ve put together a list of some of the top royal events taking place this weekend.

Paignton Royal Wedding Street Party

Get the flags out for the royal wedding

Nothing says a royal wedding quite like a street party.

On Torbay Road this weekend you can get involved in just that, a street party.

Featuring the live screening of the wedding from 12pm, children’s fancy dress competition at 4:30pm and Ollie Day (youngest town cryer from Dawn French, Little Big Shots).

There will also be a slice Paignton’s very own Meghan and Harry wedding cake available to purchase.

All monies raised from the sales of the cakes will be going to Rowcroft Hospice and Paignton Lions.

Throughout the day you will also be able buy BMAD Merchandise, see 2 vintage buses, the owl and hawk sanctuary will also be on display and Mr Phil will also be back doing stilt walking.

Special Guest Dan Brazier will also be performing close up magic at various points along the road from 12.00pm
