Folky Fox Festival 19th July 2014

The Snooty Fox Pub of Torquay is proud to announce the return of the Folky Fox Festival for its second year in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. The best of the Southwest’s folk and acoustic music is in store for this family-friendly festival taking place on the 19th July from 4pm onwards. Music For You Radio Show calls the event, “The best local festival” and Riveria fm says, “It’s a fab local event with an unbeatable atmosphere”.

This lively day is suitable for the entire family, since this year the Snooty Fox has been given permission to close the road to allow extra space for stalls, entertainment and a safe place for children to play.

There will be music for every folk-lover’s ears. The performers include Paper Anchor, Haunt the Woods, the Pirateers, and many more that span the folk genre, delving into acoustic and rock influences as well.

The Folky Fox Festival at its core is a community event, giving back its proceeds to Devon Air Ambulance Trust. Festival Organiser, Paddy Cain says, “Devon Air Ambulance provide a vital service, saving hundreds of lives each year. I am lucky enough to never have needed the air ambulance but I feel much safer knowing that it is there if I need it, especially in this beautiful coastal area where some land ambulances cannot reach certain incidents”.

It’s this community-driven attitude that makes the festival special. Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising at Devon Air Ambulance Trust says, “We would like to thank the Snooty Fox for once again putting on this excellent festival. We encourage everyone to go and enjoy the day listening to great local music”.

The Folky Fox Festival is held at the Snooty Fox Pub and fore street in St Marychurch, Torquay. Tickets are £5 and children under 12 get in free. Tickets are available from the Snooty Fox Pub or online at www.folkyfox.bigcartel.com
