Bank Lane Toilets, Brixham Refurbishment Commences

Toilets across the Torbay region are undergoing major refurbishment as part of a 3 year regeneration program.

The first part of that program has already begun with the Bank Lane Toilets in Brixham.

The work includes the total refurbishment of the building and installation of unisex cubicles, new disabled facilities and a baby changing area.

New 30p Charge

Once these toilets are open a small charge of 30p will be payable to use the new facilities.

Temporary toilets will be put in place during the time the work is being carried out.

£125k investment in toilets in Torbay

It is thought the work will last for up to 8 weeks and sign-posting will be available to show the next nearest toilets.

Councillor Robert Excell, Executive Lead for Community Safety said:

Along with the works of installing a Changing Places facility in Paignton and the deep clean and instillation of new doors at the toilets at Breakwater Beach, this is our next project. This investment of £125,000 is following our commitment to improving toilets across Torbay and will be announcing more projects soon

Prior to the 6 weeks holiday, which isn’t far away, £10,000 will be invested into many of the existing toilets to give them a deep clean and improve them accordingly.
