These once monthly yoga classes are for people who want to do yoga but can’t get to weekday classes…. those who wish to deepen their practice by learning with a teacher and then practicing at home…
and those who wish to learn more about vinyasa krama yoga.
There are two classes – you can do both or just one – £10 each or £15 for both
9.30 – 11am Vinyasa Krama Yoga Developmental Class.
Vinyasa Krama is a traditional method of practising yogasanas, based on the Yoga Sutras. Sri Krishnamacharya taught this method of asana practice in which several asana movements, or vinyasas, are practiced in slow succession, synchronized with the breath. This class will include moving and static asana, mudra, bandha, inversion, pranayama and meditation. Adaptations are available to suit individuals.
11.30 – 1pm Complete Vinyasa Krama Yoga Sequence
This class will explore and enable you to master a complete vinyasa krama sequence, gradually opening the body to full movement in all joints and soft tissues and accomplishing more advanced asana. There are 11 sequences, each leading to a classical yoga posture. One sequence will be explored each month.
