The Paignton and District chamber of Commerce have collected money with the local traders of Paignton and their customers to put up Christmas lights around the town.
We will be having a tree back in the town this year and what with the sad news of Anode closing we have chosen to honour Nigel by having him turn the tree lights on.
There will be carols performed by Sacred Heart primary school and Curledge street academy, roasted chestnuts provided by Apples n Pears along with tea and coffee available in the methodist church foyer.
There are donation boxes for Good Will Fund being organised on behalf of Torbay children’s centre- Action for children but run by volunteers, these donations are going to be given to 60 families that the children centres work with to give them a special Christmas that otherwise may not be possible.
If you wish to donate please can we ask that any food item is well in date and ideally of Christmas theme.
