Brixfest returns to Brixham for 2019 and its bigger and better than ever before.
Brixfest 2019 is the result of 12 months of hard work by the local committee and the people that have helped support this amazing yearly festival.
Kick starting Brixfest with a bang, quite literally, is the Grand Firework display at 9:50pm, more on that later.
During the Saturday 26th, you can expect a visit from a VIP and music from the prestigious Brixham Town Band.
Followed by cooking demonstrations by the England’s Seafood Coast, local chefs and ingredients.
Added to that the opportunity to sample some of the delicious foods and you’ve got an afternoon of food tasting, live music into the evening and then that all important firework display.
Sunday sees the return of the annual Brixfest Dragonoat Challenge.
The Dragonboat Challenge sees local people battle it out along the Breakwater for victory.
The last two years have been won by the Buoys n Belles, will this be the year that sees them finally beaten by another local team.
You can also find the Arts & Crafts Market which is being ran by the Brixham Chamber of Commerce, all day.
You will find this under the Old Fish market.
Lastly, Monday 28th, sees the long awaited children’s day down on Breakwater Beach providing local and holiday makers the chance to engage in a whole host of children orientated activities.
Activities include face painting, drama workshops, interactive trails, local acoustic music, live music and a whole lot more.
Come back to Brixham on Tuesday – Wednesday and take part in the Crabbing Competition and Vintage Car Rally.
